Day 1

Upon arrival at San Jose Airport, you will be met by one of our representatives and transferred to your accommodation in the city centre for 1 night. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, visiting the Cathedral, National Museum and National Park or just relax at the hotel, enjoying dinner in the hotel or at one of San Jose’s top international restaurants.

Day 2

This morning you depart early to Tortuguero, through the stunning landscape of the North. In the afternoon you will be taken on a short tour of Tortuguero town itself, learning about the local conservation efforts and the indigenous communities in the area. The rest of the afternoon will be spent at leisure, allowing you to relax by the beach or at the lodge’s pool.

Day 3

You will head into the wild along weaving waterways and through virgin rainforest. On the tour you can spot caiman, monkeys, birds and a number of other, more elusive species. You can also take an optional night tour to the turtle nesting sites, allowing you to see the females laying their eggs on the beach or the young hatching (dependent on the time of year).

Day 4

This morning , depart for the iconic Arenal Volcano, stopping off for lunch en-route in Guápiles. In the afternoon, visit this impressive volcano, which has a beautiful lake nearby and hosts a great diversity of wildlife. The rest of the afternoon will be spent at leisure, allowing you to relax at the hotel or wander around La Fortuna town.

Day 5

You will be taken white-water rafting on the Rio Toro. Set deep in the Costa Rican rain forests and fed by waters from the Poás Volcano, the Toro River winds 12km through a scenic canyon of high cliffs and exciting rapids. The afternoon will be spent at leisure.

Day 6

oday you will have the chance to visit the volcano a second time in the morning before departing for your accommodation in Quepos, near the diverse Manuel Antonio National Park.

Day 7

Enjoy a tour through one of Costa Rica’s most famous National Parks with a professional guide. In the afternoon enjoy a canopy tour through both primary and secondary forest, so that you can spot the different animals of each habitat. There are 16 platforms, four of them are built on the ground and the other twelve hang 90 feet above from the robust trees in the primary forest.

Day 8

After breakfast you will be transferred to the local airstrip for your flight to Corcovado, where you will be met and transferred to your hotel near the national park itself.

Day 9

You will be taken on a full-day tour, accompanied by a naturalist guide. A short boat ride will take you in to the heart of the park, from where you will follow forest trails until you reach the beach, where you can relax or go for a swim. In the afternoon, follow the San Pedrillo river to a pristine rainforest waterfall, home to Kingfishers and Jesus Christ lizards, before returning to the hotel.

Day 10

You will go on the Caño Island Tour. An hour’s boat ride takes you to this isolated islands, where you can see ancient indigenous burial sites that are found all over the central plateau. After lunch, relax on the beach or swim and snorkel through the azul waters of the coral reefs, home to a diverse range of colourful and fascinating marine life.

Day 11

This morning you will be transferred to the airstrip for your flight to San Jose. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your accommodation, where you can relax and enjoy a last day of relaxation and luxury, or visit the cathedral, main square and shops of the city centre.

Day 12

The next morning you will be transferred to the international terminal for your return flight home.
