Day 2

On arrival at the Bandaranayaka International Airport, you will get your first taste of warm Sri Lankan hospitality from our representative  who will welcome you at the Airport and proceed to Colombo. (Approx: travel time 01 Hr)

Day 3

Breakfast at the hotel. Thereafter enjoy city tour in Colombo. Like many capital cities in developing countries is fast changing its face. Almost overnight, skyscrapers arise from where old buildings once stood. Yet in some parts, the old world charm is retained. For example, there is a 100-year-old clock tower and several British built colonial buildings.

Day 4

After breakfast proceed to Weligama. (Approx.: travel time 02 hrs) Check in to 22 Weligambay Hotel.

En route visit Kosgoda turtle hatchery.
Kosgoda Turtle Care program aims to protect sea turtle eggs and increase hatching
rates. We not only do hatching, but also we treat disabled Turtles and treat the weak
ones due to fishing. Our staff patrols the beach all night looking for mother sea turtles
that come out of the ocean to lay their eggs. Protect the mother turtle during the
nesting process and when she is finished laying the eggs and safely back in the ocean,
we relocate the eggs from the beach to our hatchery. When the baby sea turtles hatch
we want to return them to their natural habitat quickly.

Day 5

Spend the day in leisure. In the evening you can visit around the Galle fort. Galle is a city on the southwest coast of Sri Lanka. It’s known for Galle Fort, the fortified old city founded by Portuguese colonists in the 16th century. Stone sea walls, expanded by the Dutch, encircle car-free streets with architecture reflecting Portuguese, Dutch and British rule. Notable buildings include the 18th-century Dutch Reformed Church.

Day 6

After breakfast proceed to Yala. (Approx.: travel time 03 hrs) Check in to Cinnamon Wild Hotel.

Day 7

Early morning proceed to Yala National Park by jeep. (01 Half day safari)

Yala National Park is the second largest and most visited in Sri Lanka. Yala is situated in the Southeast region of the Country. The Park covers 979 square kilometres .It originally had been designated as a Wildlife Sanctuary in 1900.

The Park is best known for its variety of its Wild Animals. Yala is one of the 7th important Bird areas in Sri Lanka. Yala harbours 215 Bird species including six endemic species of Sri Lanka. The number of Mammals that has been recorded from the park is 44, and it has one of the highest Leopard densities in the world.

Day 9

After breakfast proceed to Kandy (Approx.: travel time 06 – 07 hrs) En-route witness Ravana Falls. The Ravana Falls is a popular sightseeing attraction in Sri Lanka. It currently ranks as one of the widest falls in the country.

Visit NuwaraEliya City – The ‘Little England’ of Sri Lanka, is set against beautiful
backdrops of Mountains, Valleys, Waterfalls and Tea Plantations. It is supposed to be
one of the coldest places on the Island, but it is really just like an English spring day,
although the temperature does drop at night. All around NuwaraEliya you will see
evidence of the British influence. Houses are like Country Cottages or Queen Ann style
Mansions.

Day 10

Breakfast at the Hotel. Thereafter visit Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic of the Buddha. The Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic of the Buddha, is the major tourist attraction in Kandy and is located spectacularly against a vast serene lake. The Tooth Relic is a symbol of sovereignty and receives state protection

In the afternoon visit around Kandy city. Kandy is an excellent place for shopping for Souvenir’s in Wood, Copper, Silver, Brass, Ebony, Bronze, Ceramic Lacquer Work, Hand Loom and Batik Fabric & Clothing and Jewellery. 

In the evening witness the cultural show in Kandy. Sri Lanka, a country rich with culture & tradition offers a very vibrant and unique show of Sri Lankan traditional dances, in the form of Kandy cultural show. The beat a dancing from “Salupliya” depicting several demons, “Thelme” vibrant expression of low country rhythm, Fire and Harvest dances accompanied by Ceremonial Drums and the Drum Orchestra rising and falling to the lively tempo. As many as 12 different folk and traditional dances are performed by Kandy lake club dance troop within the span of one hour. Dinner & Overnight stay at Mahaweli Reach Hotel.

After breakfast proceed to Passikuda. (Approx.: travel time 05 hrs) Check in to Maalu Malu Resort.

Day 16

After breakfast, proceed to Polonnaruwa. (Approx. Travel time 02hrs) Polonnaruwa , the capital from 11th -13th Century A.D. Here the monuments are better preserved. The circular Relic House (Vata-da-ge) Lankathilaka, Thuparama, Royal Palace,Rankoth Vihara and Galvihara with the beautiful rock cut Buddha statues are the most interesting.

Continue journey to the Sigiriya and check in to Seerock Kings Domain Hotel

Day 17

After breakfast climb Sigiriya Rock Fortress. Sigiriya – the 5th Century Sigiriya Rock Fortress which is a world heritage site, built by King Kashyapa (477-495 AD). The ‘Lion Rock’ is a citadel of unusual beauty rising 200 metres from the scrub jungle. The rock was the innermost stronghold of the 70 hectare fortified town. A Moat, Rampart, and extensive Gardens including the renowned Water Gardens ring the base of the Rock.

Visit the world-renowned Frescoes of the ‘Heavenly Maidens’ of Sigiriya, which are in a sheltered pocket of the Rock approached by a Spiral Stairway. These Frescoes are painted in earth pigments on plaster

Thereafter visit a local village by local boat, bullock cart and Tuk Tuk. Start the journey and get in to a local boat to cross a man-made lake in the area.

Also you could have an unforgetable experience during your Bullock cart ride before you cross the Village Farm

You could support local farmers to watering their cultivation during your journey across the Local Farm .

In the afternoon visit Minneriya National Park. (Approx. Travel time 30 min). Minneriya National Park is an ideal eco-tourism location in Sri Lanka. The park consists of mixed evergreen forest and scrub areas and is home to Sri Lanka ‘s favourites such as sambar deer, leopards and elephants

Day 18

After Breakfast, visit Dambulla Cave Temple. (Approx. Travel time 30 min)

Dambulla is a large town, situated in the Matale District, Central Province of Sri Lanka, situated 72 km (45 mi) north of Kandy. Due to its location at a major junction, it’s the centre of vegetable distribution in the country. The temple is composed of five caves , which contain statues and paintings. These paintings and statues are related to Gautama Buddha and his life. There are a total of 153 Buddha statues, Dambulla Rock, offering a panoramic view of the surrounding flat lands, which includes the rock fortress Sigiriya.

Day 19

After breakfast proceed to Pinnawala. (Approx.: travel time 02 hrs)

Visit Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage. Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, is an Orphanage, nursery and captive breeding ground for wild Asian Elephants located at Pinnawala village. Pinnawala is notable for having the largest herd of captive Elephants in the world. The Orphanage was originally founded in order to afford care and protection to many of the orphaned unweaned wild Elephants found wandering in and near the forests of Sri Lanka. It was established in 1975 by the Sri Lanka Department of Wildlife

Continue journey to Negombo and check in to Suriya Resort.

Transfer to the Colombo International Airport on time to meet their departure flight.
(Approx.: travel time 30 minutes).
