Podgorica

Located in Montenegro, the city of Podgorica serves as the capital of the country. It plays host to a variety of cultural events and is home to many historic monuments including the ruins of Nemanjica Grad, Sahat-kula Adzi-pasa Osmanagica, and the remnants of the city of Doclea. It provides a great base from which to explore the scenic surrounds such as the Skardarsko National Park or Skadar Lake, the largest lake in the Balkans. Visitors can look forward to exploring the city streets which are filled with modern buildings dispersed with lush green spaces. Other highlights include: the modern Millennium Bridge over the Moraca River, and the centuries-old Clock Tower.
