Arrive In South Africa

Transfer to Vineyard Hotel in Newlands and relax
Day 3
Consider some local activities such as climbing Table Mountain, through the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, visit Cape Point, the Waterfront and enjoy sundowners at Camps Bay
Day 4
Take possession of your rental vehicle which will drive you several hundred miles
Day 5
Leave Cape Town and drive north through the agricultural region of the Swartland
Day 6
From Clanwilliam you will cross a desert which becomes more mountainous as you approach Springbok
If you drive this route in September / October the desert comes alive with spring flowers
Day 7
Cross into Namibia !
Day 8
Day 9
Head north through the Namibian desert region
Day 10
Climb the famous dune at Sossusvlei
Day 11
Drive to the coast to Swakopmund; this will be the only town you will visit between South Africa and Victoria Falls
Second town of Namibia; this was colonised by the Germans before 1914
The surrounding area is famous for desert adventure sports

Long drive up towards northern Namibia
