RUGBY TOUR to SOUTH WALES

Mumbles, a lovely coastal resort on the Gower Peninsular, is the chosen resort for next season's School or Club Welsh Rugby Tour. Choose from 4 comfortable hotels aligning or near Mumbles Road, maybe a separate one for each different age group!

Pub-crawl along the famous Mumble's Mile!

Wake up and take in that sea air, and enjoy the Welsh rugby, and the many things to do in this area.

With London, a direct 4hr coach journey to Swansea it means you can leave London at 3pm Friday afternoon, and be down in time for dinner. What a way to start a fantastic weekend! And, for the more adventurous come and experience Gower's west facing beaches which is Wales' premier surfing location.

DATES: 3 days and nights

TRAVEL down by coach leaving at 3pm, arriving in time for dinner round 8pm. Rendezvous at your School or Club for 2.30pm. One further coach leaves at 5.30pm. Arrive for 5pm. For those who cannot get off school early. A final mini bus picks up stragglers and leaves at 6.30pm, prompt. The Coaches will take us everywhere, including the Monday Tours, and will be back at your School or Club by 8pm, Monday

ACCOMODATION:The Shoreline The Carlton Hotel Patrick's Hotel All three are the sea front. The St Anne's Hotel is suitable for younger children and the Coach Drivers. This is right behind the other hotels and safer from traffic. Dinner on arrival: St Annes' - rolling buffet Kids at 8pm: Carlton hotel Adults at Castellmare Restaurant; 9.00pm, with views of the coastline. Late arrivals at Italian next to Shoreline, 10.30pm Cost for both restaurants to be approx £25 pp, plus drinks. Cost for hotels approx £80 per room per night B&B (except Patrick's which is £105 per room per night)

The FINAL COST will be £200 per person (but cheaper per person for families of more than two in one room), plus the activities on the Monday (see below) which will be extra. Also extra will be meals taken outside of the hotels, and dinner Saturday night where everyone is free to "do their own thing". The Host Clubs will be providing BBQ's during the Rugby.

THE RUGBY

DAY ONE
YNYSYBWL RFC

The Valley's Experience! Leave Mumbles at 09.30am arriving around 11am. Format: Matches with Ynysybwl, Mountain Ash, Tonyrefail and Ystrad Mynach. Play v Ynysybwl A's as a curtain raiser before the First XV match in the afternoon, which we shall all stay to watch.(ko 2.30pm).   BBQ, Bouncy castle, kids entertainment, and of course a bar. Apparently, the beer is really cheap! The Ynysybwl senior squad promises to lead the entertainment after their match. Evening: Return to Mumbles when we want. Evening at Leisure. We shall have three coaches so different departure times are possible.

DAY TWO
SOUTH GOWER RFC

Hospitality from the Mumbles Area Leave Mumbles at 10.30am; arrive a few minutes later, after scenic local drive and difficulty negotiating narrow lanes. This will be a Mini Festival involving teams from South Gower RFC, West Gower RFC, Mumbles RFC, and Vardre RFC, a team based near Swansea. There will be a bar, and a BBQ and rumours of a Welsh Band!  Tour Dinner, booked for all, at St Annes' Hotel, for 7.30pm.

DAY THREE
THE ZETA TOURS EXPERIENCE

As there will be three coaches, we shall be able to split into three, possibly four, groups.

The following options are planned.
1. Cardiff - sightseeing, shopping and the Millenium Stadium (well worth a look). The tour of the Stadium is booked  starting at 12.30, you are advised to be at Gate 3 by 12.00, this can be found on Westgate St. (this runs from the Castle at the north end to the train station at the south, or if you have been to an international in Cardiff its the street with the Angel Hotel in.) Prices are £5.50 for adults and £3.00 for children with a 15% discount for  one payment. Departure from Mumbles 10.30am.

2. Outward Bound type activities on the Brecon Beacons. Hill Walking. Please bring suitable walking gear if you want to go on this, proper walking boots (not trainers) and waterproofs, just in case! Departure from Mumbles 10.15am.

3. Browse around Mumbles, and tour around the Gower Peninsular, its beaches and surf. Visit to the National Maritime Museum in Swansea. Departure from Mumbles 10.45am.

4. The Big Pit mining museum, admission is free with them opening at 9.30 and the first underground tour starting at 10.00. Website: www.nmgw.ac.uk. Departure from Mumbles 10am Also the Rhondda Heritage Park which is only 20 mins from Cardiff, its worth a look at www.rhonddaheritagepark.com.

All Tours are designed to have you back home no later than 8pm.
Any costs, which will largely be meals and your own expenses, are extra. The Coaches are of course included.
